My passion is capturing imagery which IGNITES emotions, brings to LIGHT truths, and KINDLES a continued conversation with life. I provide professional photography services from sports, weddings, travel, industry & stock and more.
Dave Long was born in Nebraska and picked up his first hand-me-down camera from his father when he was 15. After high school he joined the military where he served 20 years in the US Army and Air Force. During his military service he was an infantryman, advisor, and jet engine mechanic, yet he continued to pursue his passion for photography.
Towards the end of his military career he was enrolled as a wounded warrior and was asked to serve as the Air Force Wounded Warrior team photographer during the 2017 DoD Warrior Games. His success in capturing the accomplishments, emotions, and ultimate success of the Warriors earned him an invite the following year.
In 2018 he traveled to the Invictus Games, Sydney, Australia to capture the USA DoD Wounded Warrior team as they competed internationally. His powerful imagery reached 134 news outlets with a combined audience of 4 billion worldwide.
After the massive success of showcasing the USA Team, he was invited to the 2019 DoD Warrior Games to once again capture the amazing warriors. During this time he provided the first ever underwater photography and videos during the swimming competition, a first ever accomplishment within the Paralympic or Olympic community.
